well, here I go again...obsessing over the gender of my now four month old Silkie sweeties! I think it's a pullet, as her brother is crowing and has a large walnut comb, compared to her. Guesses would be aporecated. Than

I really hope not. I only have 2 silkies and the other is definitely a cockerel. Then again if they are both cockerels that just means I need more silkies.

With silkies, I would encourage you to get 10 at a time so you get at least 1 hen. This year has been another year of the cockerel. Most of my hatches have been roos.

I hadn't planned on getting them when I did. They were the last 2 a local breeder was trying to find homes for, so of course I had to take them haha

Mine had a similar looking crest that also appeared to have streamers starting. DNA sexing determined pullet. (YAY!!!)
