Silkie roo acting like a hen

If you can post some more pics of 'him' we might be able to help diagnose the problem (e.g. if it's a pullet perhaps) close up of comb / front on head and side views would be great.
..Also, often a second rooster may not crow if another more dominant rooster is around. ..And Silkies can take up to a year or so to start laying.
Posted.. thanks!

I have a silkie roo (11 months old) living with 6 hens (silkie and Serama) and one Serama roo. (I DNA tested them when they were younger so I know he’s a roo.) He has never crowed, he spends hours every day sitting on the eggs, and I saw him squatting and being mounted by the Serama roo today too. I’m not quite sure what to make of his behavior..thoughts?View attachment 2544037
I just got a 6 week old DNA tested Silkie rooster and a 3 week old DNA tested female. The rooster is behaving very much like a mother hen wanting to keep the little female warm and protected. He's more than twice the size of the female.

Do you have photos? That sounds like normal behavior for older chicks, even boys, to keep the younger ones warm. The roosters are like the “protectors” of the younger ones. So I wouldn’t think that it is wrong, unless like in the case of the OP the bird ends up looking exactly like a pullet and exhibiting all the behaviors of a pullet. Which you probably won’t know for a few more months.
