Do Silkie roosters protect baby chicks?I’ve noticed that my Silkie rooster doesn’t really seem to care much. Wierd how he doesn’t peck them like he did to the ones that were two months old. Even when I’m not around I still keep a close eye just in case but so far he doesn’t seem to mine them.

My silkie roo protects his babies. Sometimes if the mamma needs some alone time, she'll leave the chicks with daddy. They follow him and come when he calls them to food. ❤
