So I brought home a Silkie that lost it's chicken-friend to some sort of critter.
It was acting really weird, and I couldn't leave it there to be lonely.

Now I need to know whether or not this Silkie is a rooster/cockerel or a hen/pullet.
It's about seven months old.

Oh, and yes I know it has a cross beak..

I can get better pictures sometime.. but these were taken before I brought it home.

We already trimmed it, and it moved.. which made us trim a little too much.. so it bled.
It stopped though. Scared me to death.
It's trimmed about even with the bottom beak.
Just the white tip is gone.

Oh, and it was just laying in a corner by itself since it's friend died.
The other chickens picked on it, so it just stayed in.
I had to take it..

Well, they really are sweet birds. I have a roo that got really mad at me when I sent his brother to a breeder. He was lonely, and I had to start integrating him with rest of the flock. Then hens were more ok with him, but my BIG roo had to put him in his place several times. Rotten snot. BUT, Roger, my silkie roo... He's a good boy.
