Hey all!
I have 3 beautiful Silkie roosters for sale - $5 each.

They’re are gorgeous healthy birds, hand raised to be pets and companion animals, NOT FOR FOOD, however we are only zoned to keep hens in my area so I need the lads gone ASAP.

Local pickup only (sorry no shipping) from Fresno, California.
***Please note the deadly Newcastle disease in California is so far limited to a handful of Southern California counties, and has not affected the central California region where I’m located, so all my birds have a clean bill of health.

This first Roo is a lovely mix of black and rich red feathers. We’ve named him “Zipper”, but I’m sure he would be open to a new name if you prefer something else. He’s from this springs hatch so he’s about 2 months old and is only just getting his streamers.

Next we have “Tater” (again you can always re-name him) also from this spring and is 2 months old. Tater is a pretty light ginger bird with some grey and black starting to come in on the wings and tail. Please excuse my hand in some of the shots. Tater did NOT want his photo taken today so I had a fun time “positioning” my fluffy little model.

Lastly we have my personal favorite, my 1 year old “Charlie”. Everyone loves Charlie. He’s a fun and personable little gentleman who hates being picked up but loves to be cuddled once you catch him. He does a great job guarding the ladies. He enjoys warm baths and being blow-dried with a hairdryer after. Having the back of his head petted is his favorite thing ever. He is very well behaved for a Rooster. He has on a few occasions become slightly territorial, but only around new people he hasn’t made friends with yet. All in all I’d say he’s a very good little boy. He also is brimming over with charisma! Just look at these photos. You can’t help but fall in love with that lovable enthusiastic personality...

Sadly I live far too far away to get these boys but they're beautiful!

I hope you manage to find them good homes :love

Thank you so much! So sweet of you. Yes, I’m really attached to these little chaps already and it’s not going to be easy letting them go. I’ve also got them listed on Craigslist (hate to do that but I have to do everything I can to re-home them) and I’ve had a few people asking about them from there, but tbh I’d rather let them go to someone from the backyardchickens forums. Hopefully I’ll hear from someone in this area soon.

Hey all! Just to let the community know these chaps have been successfully re-homed, and are sadly no longer available for sale.

I'm not sure how to delete the original thread, so hopefully this update will suffice.
Thanks again to anyone who expressed an interest. :)
