The tall black one in the back? He's cute with his long giraffe neck. It will be fun to watch them develop into adults, Silkies always look like they have something to say. Cutie pies! ❤

The older big black one is a cockerel but he's been very kind to all the little chicks, he seems to be happy for the company

Chonkers has been turning into a complete terror, he holds his wings out from his sides and chases all the other silkies around and if they happen to get within reach he bites them. I finally got fed up with his nonsense this morning and put him in with the hens. It was surprisingly calm. He strutted through them like he was 10 feet tall and bullet proof, eventually he picked a fight with Rocky Barred-boa she gently parried off his uncoordinated attacks and finally got tired of his BS and ran off. A few others tried to bluff him, but it only took 5 min before he's strutting through the run with the ladies scurrying out of his way. And I was worried they'd tear him up... ugh he's a naughty boy. I was surprised he's not that much smaller than my layers.

I know his leakage isn't a good thing, but it sure makes his little white cheeks and beard stand out.

Good grief, the boy has gone mad! His hormones must be raging, hopefully he doesn't let all this go to his head! He sure is pretty, the leakage may be a big no-no but I think he is gorgeous! Not often you see a chicken with such color. ❤ "Be a good boy Chonkers!"

I checked on Chonkers after work last night to be sure he wasn't out in the run all by himself, nope, he was up on the highest roost bad cuddled up to the ladies like he was a big shot.

This morning I checked on him again, all the ladies were out in the run (it was still dark but the shop light gives off light so that coop gets up early) he was in the coop crowing away, I looked in and he was still on the top roost. I don't think he knows how to get down yet I gave him a hand and he immediately started strutting around inside the coop. The girls all came running in since I was in there and dove around him like he was a shark and they were feeder fish I don't think they like him.
