This is only my third attempt at sexing these two.... Im hoping both Pullets.... But not sure. :( deceptive little breed they are! Both hatched in late June... So almost 4 months old?

The gray one is throwing me through a loop.... Every time i convince myself that they are Both pullets they start looking different to me lol... Typical Silkie sexing i suppose... Anyone else wanna take a try for me?

Haven't been on in a while.. but I wanted to drop in and share that Gracey is 100% a girl!

We had a lot of confusion... and a lot of mixed opinions....

but in the end she stayed the girl I hoped her to be :)

She started squatting like the egg-layers yesterday- I just saw it today! I picked her up and snuggled her and was like, "I'm so proud of my baby!!!" Plus, she is still half the size of my roo, Willow... who is the size of the egg-layers. |D

Anyway, just wanted to update all of you! :)

Do both male and female silkies ruffle their neck feathers during confrontation? I have noticed some of my 19 week old silkies lean forward towards each other and stand the neck feathers on their necks. A couple of them haven't been sexed yet and are too close to tell.
