Hen or rooster? 3 months old.

I posted this in the silkie thread , but thought that I might get more answers here. Pullet or roo?? OK here's some pics! Still is at very bottom of pecking order and acts like a girl. Very quiet and ALWAYS getting left behind by the other chicks. "She is about half the size of the other LF chicks ("her" fluff makes "her" look bigger). Oops, got left behind AGAIN! Where did they go???? "Her" size by a LF rooster chick. (found them!) What do you think?
She is a pullet. :) She has the typical hen coloring in partridge colored chickens, plus her comb is still small narrow and flat.

What is the typical roo coloring in partridge? Do you mind explaining how they're different from each other? Or even showing pictures? Thank you!

Most Partridge colored Silkie roosters have a darker red or reddish "shoulder patch", with a lighter, orangish or golden colored long hackle and saddle feathers. While, the hens will mostly color out with a dark brown color (with a penciled pattern, in silkies because of their fur like feathers, the pattern with appear to be more "dotty" looking) around the back and tail area, with a golden or light brown color around the neck and breast (neck area usually has some dark brown or black streaks).

Of course, this won't always apply to all partridge colored Silkies. I've seen a lot of hatchery quality (or pet quality) partridge Silkies that have more of a beige coloring around the whole body. I've even seen a rooster with the same hen coloring as I described, but this is where you need to pay attention to comb size, streamer on the crest, plus the long hackle and saddle feathers that come out. And since your chick has a small, narrow, and flat comb, I am going with a pullet. ;)

Here's a picture to show color comparison in Partridge Silkies (male on left, female on right) :

This can also apply to other partridge colored chickens! (Examples are of Partridge Rocks)

Hope this helps! :D
