Here here are a few of my babies... They're about 7 weeks old, maybe 8... Any guesses on gender? I personally think I have 2 roos and 2 hens.I want at leasg 3 hens. Anyway, what are y'alls thoughts?

Alright, new silkie mama here! I've been doing some research and i have some guesses on my babies so I'd love to hear what more experienced chicken parents have to say. They are five weeks old today. Each chick has its own line so there's two chicks per photo, two photos of one on the top, two photos of another on the bottom.
I agree with your guessesI have 2 silkie chicks. My girls have named them Lightning and Thunder. They are only about a month old, but I am thinking that Lightning is a roo, and Thunder is a pullet. This is Lightning. Notice that stance!
This her is Thunder. She is showing signs of being a sizzle. I also think she is more likely to be a pullet.
No matter, I love them both. I would rather have girls, but I am okay if one is a boy. All of my little chickies are such cuties!
I'm guessing cockerel basked on comb but it's stance (at least in the pictures) doesn't seem terribly boyishBought this chick today, was told it was two months old. "Straight run" she said.
