Wish I had been on here last spring when I received 15 Silkie and 15 Cochin chicks. Straight run of course. Over the months I kept track of who I thought was male female based on feathers, comb, body size/shape. I had 35% accuracy. And out of 30 chicks I ended up with 13 hens. All the roosters were gorgeous. I had no problem finding people to take them. I kept one white Silkie rooster.
 
It's hard to tell from that picture. The face of the white one looks like a hen so far. Look for the pin feathers the shoot out off the head of the roosters. Mine started to get them around 2.5-3 months. That's the dead giveaway! Can't see the faces on the other 2.
