I honestly don't know.  That's why I'm on this thread too.  In most chickens taller &/or wider combs = male.  Silkies are very diff than most breeds & their black skin doesn't help with no pink comb/wattles to look for. 

thank you so much I think you are right I have heard the same thing I was just able to.zoom .in on the picture so it could be seen better her splash face makes it appear larger, but deff wider. thak you so much for your input.

This one is a 10 week old non-bearded white. Sorry I don't have a full body shot, I'll try to get one but it is skittish and won't let me take pictures.
 
Here's all of my Silkies... one of them we know was a rooster due to watching him crow - he found a new home. Another one from the older crew is crowing but I haven't figured out which one. Any help would be appreciated!























 
White(s?) Definitely cockerel

 We had two whites. We are down to one. I am horrible at figuring out which they are. They all have a tiny little spike on the back of their leg too.
all whites pictured look like cockerels. Spikes are called Spurs. They aren't a clear indication of the bird's gender as males and females can have spur bumps and Spurs.
