I honestly don't know. That's why I'm on this thread too. In most chickens taller &/or wider combs = male. Silkies are very diff than most breeds & their black skin doesn't help with no pink comb/wattles to look for.

We had two whites. We are down to one. I am horrible at figuring out which they are. They all have a tiny little spike on the back of their leg too.White(s?) Definitely cockerel
all whites pictured look like cockerels. Spikes are called Spurs. They aren't a clear indication of the bird's gender as males and females can have spur bumps and Spurs.White(s?) Definitely cockerel
