Hi! I have 9 silkies and have to pick 3! Hopefully a boy and two girls. I managed to get good pics of most of them and I'm hoping someone can help me with sex. I understand about the feathers on head for boys laying back more? and if thats correct I think I can pick out a couple but not sure. Thanks in advance for the help! All are about 6-7 weeks.

My roos normally develop them at 15-16 weeks. Is that late? My hens just don't get them at all.

Wow! That's a huge difference than my orpingtons! My little male chicks get pink combs & wattles between 3-4 weeks.


Here are my current lav orp chicks that just turned 3 weeks. I can already see that I have one of each gender.
Silkies are so much harder!
