silkie sexing

Here's a pic of CooCoo (I know not very original). CooCoo is just over 14 weeks old and we think he's a cockeral. No streamers or crowing yet but that mulberry comb has us wondering. His three partners in crime, we believe, are all pullets based on poof, comb, etc. Let me know what you think.

Def a Roo! Love his color tho!

completely agree with Roo as he has the red already starting on his head and the color...wow... I love that color. What is it called?
Thanks, we love him too! He is a grey cuckoo. Lucked out that he has a mulberry comb and dark skin because I've read that sometimes the cuckoo pattern (which is produced by the barring gene without the fast feathering gene) leads to red combs and pale skin. Hopefully we are correct about the other three (one buff and two splash) and we'll have a lovely little tribe of silkies. My daughter wanted to add the silkies to our flock and I wasn't too excited about it at the time. But they are the most amazing creatures, so unique. I have become a huge fan.

They both have pretty big combs for 5 week olds. How old were they when you started noticing their combs?
