Any one have any guesses on this 7 week old silkie? Im thinking and hoping its a hen. Would you call it's color partridge it came from to black parents.

These Littles are 16 weeks old now. I am pretty sure the second silkie is a pullet. She already does the submissive squat when I pet her
I am not sure about the first one though. The top knot is pretty swept back but doesn't act like a roo. Not any bigger then the girl either. Plus, the comb is pretty small at 16 weeks. I guess I am just hoping for a hen. Fingers crossed. And boy they are still so small. I can't imagine them getting up to 2 pounds.

For now I think they both look like pullets. Streamers should be developing by now and I don't see any. Also most silkie roos, not necessarily SQ, will have a larger comb by now.

That is what I was thinking as well. I was hoping for a pullet, but live in the country so no reason I can't have a roo, I guess!
