Silkie showing tomorrow 11/29/08, question

Next time try bathing them a two days ahead. Carry a brush with you to fluff up again. Hope you do well. It is hard to tell how fluff she could be when they are not completely dry.

Chicken show tomorrow --
I am planning to go -- have never been to a chicken show and am so annoyed that the weather is not predicted to co-operate -- dang!
I am looking to buy a Silkie rooster --
Maybe I'll see you there -- LOVE the color of your Silkie -- it would kinda 'match' my hair!

Hi Everyone,

Well we made it through our first show and had fun! She did well and I learned a few things.
1- Ya gotta cut chicken nails! LOL I had no idea! I could have painted hers red they were so long.
2- clean the face a little better. We live in NC with lots of clay! I had her feet all nice but her face around her beak and just between her eys still had a little red stain on them and I wasa little scaed to get soap up her nose and in her eyes so next time I know what i gotta do!

I did speak with the judge after he was done and he was vERY nice! He was clear to say she was a vERY nice girl and this was completly owner error! LOL

Thanks for everyones help!

I did get to meet through1956 and she was set up next to me with some nice silkies as well!!!! I love those white silkes!!!!!!!!
