I’m am absolutely not debating that. But it’s hard to see through the weeds with all the false information people have on Sizzles literally being the old terminology for what are now Smooth Satin and Frizzled Satins. I mean, I understand I used the old terminology in my original post because that is what a lot of people are still saying on this forum - but for people to tell me it’s not a sizzle but a smooth silkie is honestly ridiculous because they are the same thing. So it kind of takes away my trust in what they are saying.. that’s understandable right?@MysteryChicken is amazing with silkies.... just going to put that out there.
OMG! I love you right now… Girl or boy doesn’t matter to me I’m keeping either way. I’m just saying that the Roo’s that came out of this hatching have a massive tail feathers right now already and they are ALL crowing- The pullets (Or at least what I think are the) don’t as of now… So it would be kind of funny that this is the only one without those tailfeather at the moment. But only time will tell until I hear a crow or see an eggThat is a pretty satin! And she's looking like a girl to me.![]()
Black Silkie mom & frizzled Golden laced Cochin for dad… So I was thinking that Brown came from the dad?I don't know who her parents were but that's just brown leakage on her feathers. It's a unique color!

I have actually. But the only Sizzle I know of is Sizzle silkies. You’re wrong…. You obviously haven’t researched the history of what a sizzle actually is .. plenty of info for you out there. Here’s a tad bit for your reference. But again. Appreciate your feedback- though it’s false info. Roo, maybe? More to come….
I’m really not here to debate with you on breeds.. more looking for answers on the health issue.
I do not know, about the gender of the chicken or about the breeds & crosses that are being discussed. Silkies and frizzles and their relatives are not really my thing.
