I bet it was the herbs or berries that made it taste bad. This recipe was just a stock which will be used for any recipe needing stock. You couldn't tell the difference between silkie or standard roo stock. I say that because most of the standard roos I've raised aren't very meaty when compared to a good old Cornish X.

I was gonna make a chicken chili with the meat but some of the other recipes posted here look good too.
 
Oh! Please! I wasn't suggesting that your broth or silkies in general taste bad. It really looks great.

I'm a big broth maker. I always keep it on hand for all kinds of recipies. -Just made a big batch last weekend. I freeze it in waxed paper cups. When I want to use some I just peel the cup away from the block of broth.
