Silkie thread!

One of them looked like it was in shock the day before, went out to their coop and found him dead.
the other went missing no sign of feathers or anything, its the same thing that happened with my first ever hatch.

I am sorry! Is anything able to get into your coop? Are they with their moms when they go missing?

Its a rabbit hutch and theres no way of everythin getting in unless its open.
It happened when they were free ranging, as my mother lets them out when I am not home and ive told her not to a number of time.
I'm not sure if Lily ( mumma hen) was with the chick when it happened cause she always runs off all the time.

Shayna that chick is adorable! Is it considered partridge ( I'm new at this)? Yes siamese do have their own personalities and this one has a fan club. Even guys like him because he greats them at the door, jumps onto their shoulders and removes their hats so he can kiss them! He is my best boy at 11 years of age. He takes really good care of my 3# yorkie. He even bathes him. He loves children as well. Really unusual.

Scobby that is so funny about people thinking your silkie is a puppy. What a hoot!!!

That's a very unique siamese personality! Typically they love the hand that feeds them and are pretty standoff-ish to everyone else in my experience. However my mom has a siamese mix who loves to greet everyone and play with the chihuahua. Your cat sounds like the one that lives at my feed store. It tries to hang around my neck and leave on someones shoulder every time we stop in.

Not sure which chick of mine you're referring to, maybe it was someone else's picture? Mine are all either black, white, or paint. I know someone else posted a very adorable broody silkie that looked partridge? So many silkie pics around here, I can't keep track of what I posted and what everyone else posted! My head is spinning with silkie cuteness

Chicken obsessed: I am so sorry about your loss of Tinkerbell. It is so hard to loose a special pet. When it happens to me I eventually am able to cherish the wonderful memories of my special one. It is like loosing a family member. Great that you have her daughter.

My siamese cat Bandit has been with me 11 years and I am hoping for many more. He is indoors only. He is quite a character but most of all is such a lover. True to the siamese breed, he prefers humans and gives us many hours of joy! He greets everyone at the door and takes really good care of my 3# two year old Yorkie.

Thanks again for your post. I just love cat & chicken people!

Totally hilarious! Reminds me of the time I took my mom on a road trip with me to pick up silkies and she looked at a frizzle or sizzle (something like that) rooster, and said "Oh, that's the cutest thing I've ever seen" To which I replied, "Mom, you cannot have a chicken." Her response:

"Oh, that's a chicken? I thought it was a silkie!"

I can only imagine what that lady was thinking....

Sorry about that I was looking at the partridge one & thought it was yours. Your paints are beautiful & I hope to have one some day (now that I have learned the difference btw splash & paints). I get my siamese from a breeder in Wisconsin she is known for her wonderful siamese. Bandit (papered name is Expresso) is my third one from her. They have all had different personalities but they have all been super nice! She has been breeding them for years & breeds for personality as well as looks. She has had many champions as well. Her plan was to get a grand champion on Bandit & breed him. I went to her cattery with my mom to pick up a kitten for her & Bandit latched on to me. Some how I was able to convince her to let me take him home. Lucky me!

Oh that's great, sounds like he was meant to be your cat! My 4 cats were basically all strays that I took in. No special breed, but they're sweet. Chickens confuse them. I think they're not sure what my silkies are, but they're pretty sure they don't want to find out! They don't see them much since chickens are rarely inside and my cats don't go outside.
