I got an email from the breeder I bought the eggs from and she says it will probably be blue.

Blue X splash will give I think 50/50 blue/splash - with the full white feathers coming it, its going to be a splash genetically. that white means the blue is double dosed. how light/dark based it will be - no telling until it matures.

Not seeing if people think my chicks are cute. I just posted them on here because there weren't some nice comments on the other page about silkies that's all. Not gonna breed them for show quality. I didn't think that some of the comments of the other page were nice that's all. When I asked for their opinion on what they thought my chicks looked like partridge cause they are starting to look like partridges. But they couldn't see them very well because of my camera. Then they said that my chicks weren't 100% silkie. Sorry wasn't in the greatest moods last night that's all.


When I want your critique then I'll ask what you guys think.. Just got mad last night because there were some harsh things said well not a lot but still though I wanted their opinion on my silkie chicks. Doesn't matter to me know if they are or aren't partridge. Pretty bad ya can't say anything on here anymore without someone taking it the wrong way.... I know my silkies are cute. I wasn't asking you guys if you thought that they were cute or not. I just posted them on here because of what happened on the other forum that's all. Cause I thought you guys would be a little nicer but I thought wrong now.. Not trying to make anyone mad.. From now on I'm not gonna ask for anyone's thoughts or opinions. Nor will I give any. I just think that you breeders, not all of you cause ya have manners. But a lot of you need to be more patient to us who are still learning or starting out that's all we want..

I was on the Partridge Forum and I was not being mean. I did tell you that your pictures were dim. I asked if they were 100% silkie. I was not being mean. I needed to know this b/c sometimes people cross birds and your second bird looked like a color i've never seen. It's too bad that you mis-interpreted my comment. I do not believe it was Harsh, Mean, OR Rude.

I believe some of the things you are stating can be taken as Rude but, it all depends on the way one is reading it. I believe that everyone views statements differently.

Lastly, the silkie forums are for Breed/Genetics/Showing how are we to know that you were only asking about a pet? How can we properly give you feed back without all the facts?

I didnt' give you any feedback except what you asked. I told you the first one looked like a partridge and said the second I couldn't tell the pictures are dim. I only asked if they were 100% silkie not stated. I won't be giving any feedback on your birds b/c you obviously do not want to read anything but, what you want to see. I feel like alot of folks will feel the same if you keep posting negative things about us breeders.

Maybe you ought to rethink your statements before posting. Flaming and trolling is prohibited on this site. I'd hate to see a report done for a mishap that didn't need to go this far.
