There have been 16,870 posts since I have looked at this thread. Mostly cuz I am a busy person...

HOWEVER, I just wanted to share with my fellow silkie lovers my first ever silkie hatchling. My broody had only 2 under her. She went broody on my so suddenly... AND right after I had sold her eggs along with other banty eggs to an elderly couple who likes the small eggs...

Well here it is... He fell asleep in my hand. I am so in love!

I'm a newbie as well, they were yellow in color when I got them, and their feathers are growing in white. I assume just white as both hen and roo were white as well.

He only has 4 toes instead of 5, He's got bare feet, no signs of feathers growing in at all and he's actually the smallest out of the group of chicks I got, he's still not growing nearly as fast as the others. So he'e just a "little behind" LOL Love him. He's such a ham.
