What are in the US Silkies recognized coloration for the exhibition shows ?

Currently, the only recognized colors are:
Black
Blue
Partridge
Buff
White
Gray
Self Blue
Splash.

Don't know if this is the correct thread for this, and we are truly newbies at raising chickens (but loving it!), so I've got to ask:
Where can one buy Silkies? Just a few, mind you! No more than four or five, and preferably females. We aren't looking to breed, just enjoy.

I'll give this a try and someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I may miss one but I'm sure of these. Black, white, partridge, buff, blue, splash & self-blue.

So their is still room for the inventive breeder.
Is there enough interesse for new colorations ?
What must be done to recognize a new coloration in your standards ?

I purchased mine thru Ideal Poultery but they only sell straight run. I have seen Silkies claiming to be sexed on Craigslist though.

There is a lot of people working on new colors. My understanding is that it takes about five years to get them breeding true. Some of the popular ones are paint, porcelain (lots of conflict on this one and the name) cuckoo, calico, colombian, chocolate, tortoiseshell, and many others. Sonoran is working on a bunch of them.

My Partridge girl Topaz....still not sure if she is a blue partridge or a regular oneAnd my sweet Misumi, the little crossbeak pullet. It is such a shame, since I think she is gorgeous otherwise. Both of them had wet muddy feet and leg feathers in these pictures...we had quite a storm last night >.<

eb/eb bl+/bl+ = Partridge
eb/eb Lav+/lav = Partridge carrier 1 dosis lavender

E/E bl+/bl+ = Black

E/E Bl/bl+ = Blue
E/E Bl/Bl = Splash
E/E lav/lav = lavender

E/E Bl/bl+ Lav+/lav = Blue carrier 1 dosis lavender
E/E Bl/Bl Lav+/lav = Splash carrier 1 dosis lavender

Since lavender is a recessive gene it needs 2 dosises lav/lav to be visible on the outside.
