Silkie thread!

I finally got some more pics taken of my birds that hopefully are a bit better. Opinions welcome about their types and colors. Thanks.
1st white male

2nd white male

partridge male

grey male

3rd white male Is his comb too large? He has horns off of it.

I would like to know which ones look the best. I am wanting to keep the best white out of the three since that is the color I want to work with. I really like the colored ones as well. I was wondering if they have good coloring. Thanks.

That is where I saw them!!!

I was wondering about their genetics and what kind of cross they would be considered or if they bred true. I am VERY interested in them, they are so beautiful.
I have no clue on the genetics but certainly wouldn't mind having some myself. lol

Someday when I have a clue on some of the genetics, I'll find some use for my rooster Curly. Good thing he's only 2 years old so I have plenty of time to figure it all out.

Don;t worry too much about it. I use people nail clippers and it worked really well. No blood. They all were very calm. It is easy compared to my dogs.

I totally agree...I use people nail clippers as well and it works great...small ones...chickens are easy compared to the dogs...but only if there are two of us still

And those FROST silkies are beautiful!!! Haven't seen them before and they are are pretty uniform in color and pattern...

bad tail, too many hard feathers, crest isn't quite as filled out as I'd like, and wings are loose. but everything else looks okay.

THIS is the best WHITE, tail looks good, crest looks good, a bit long in the neck though...

partridge male - I WANT HIM!!!!!!!!! LOL he has very nice coloring and nothing bad type wise that I can see...if you don't want him let me know seriously! lol

SPLASH I really like this guy, type wise I think he is the absolute best of them all.

Just wanted to show off Roger... Remember Roger... After his hawk attack...

New pin feathers.. Eye healed

And crowing it up the other day...

His tail is finally starting to come back after the coon ripped it of on Masacre night... BUT... Yeah... Healed up amazingly well.

Great to see Rodger looking so much better! He looks happy :)

I was just going to post that I want that Partridge! I've been trying for a nice partridge for a while now. This one is just beautiful!

How does he eat then? I take it you use a very deep dish? Those sure are some pretty feathers.
I do use a bowl to make her mash in and she does quite well. I had just given Broke Beak a bath and her feathers were clean when I took this picture. Usually she has mash all over her. I think her feathers are pretty too. Thanks!
