Silkie thread!

Thank you

She is always standing like this now. I feel like giving her a gold star sticker for her efforts

I'm so happy with what I got out of my very first silkies . They weren't even great quality (the parents) but together they make way better babies than they themselves were or ever could be.

With my frilkie in the front being all macho

He's so cute lol.

I have a few chicks in the same pen that are 6 weeks old - and they look just like Phyllis at that age

All of them so beautiful.

The young male we are keeping - he's 16 weeks

So sleepy.

I don't care what colour she is. I am in love with this little girl.
_MG_5748.jpg

Come on now! She's making me cringe with cuteness.
Now this one is important. I am thinking boy. I am selling him if so this weekend. If it's a girl - stop me. I love the colours.

I know.. It's a boy..

I've found a pet home for the girl in back with a crooked beak. They want a good brood hen, and she comes from really high broody lines

Doesn't this picture just kill you?

Lorraine - mama of Phyllis (I think...)

Gretta - dirty.. We've been getting a lot of rain = mud.
All of these are so pretty. I love Steve what a guy! Your dark partridge and buff are so pretty.

You don't have to clip it, but you can. I find they see enough to eat and drink and get around. As long as they can do that.
You can also tie their crest up.

I do it for my Houdan boy Gigi. He is very paranoid and thinks everyone is out to get him. Even when he's alone. I show them, so I don't trim.

What he looks like when he isn't tied back.
He's beautiful and I love that Crest.

I've heard it called a "creamsicle" so that is what I put down on the show entry form

I hope it's accepted

. I am looking forward to making this color my breeding project. I LOVE it! Here is mine that is just like yours. Her crest is a bit small right now, she just finished molting and the feathers are growing back.

I like her color.

Hope you all notice that I changed my avatar photo. Here are recent photos of my girl, Silk! She came from a Catdance egg. Love her!! She is 6 months old now.

OM what a gorgeous Catdance girl. I am loving my chicks right now but I am so anxious to see what they grow up to be. She is very nice Peepblessed.

beautiful!! Can't wait for my silkies to grow up and be beautiful. Right now mine are still babies except for one which is a bit older (2 months) but at the awkward stage. Looking like a bad hair day.

Hey everyone, I posted this in the emergency forum but haven't had much luck. One of my 18m/o hens is very lethargic and not eating, her eyes are clear but her face has a sunken in appearance. When she walks, she only goes to the left. I have her separated from the rest of the flock and gave her a .5cc dose of Tylan 50. Any ideas of what could be wrong and how I could go about helping/curing her?
