Silkie thread!

Hope you all notice that I changed my avatar photo. Here are recent photos of my girl, Silk! She came from a Catdance egg. Love her!! She is 6 months old now.
Beautiful! I'm totally jealous.

I have 2 splash Catdance chicks growing, 7 weeks old. I'm pretty sure one is a cockerel, not sure on the smaller one yet. My luck, it'll be a cockerel as well. lol

My silkies scratched the crap out of their run, they love to scratch just as much as the rest of em! So it is just dirt now. I did put some tasty plants growing on the outside of the coop, so they can pick at whatever grows inward. They like the mint plants =)

Some vegetables and herbs can affect the flavor of eggs, such as mint, sage and thyme.

just thought id show you this. minty eggs

I was just going through my images from yesterday and am quite pleased with how Phyllis is looking now at 20 weeks. Thoughts?
If there wasn't one standing in front of her, you'd see her feet. I have more, but I'll load this image here first. It's getting late and I'm tired

Phyllis is sooo pretty. My cockerel has that caramel coloring coming out around his neck. I think it's striking.

This girl is a Catdance pullet for those of you who have the catdance partridge chicks :) she was actually REALLY light as a chick, all 3 that I hatched were cream with brown and red stripes, and all 3 wound up being girls.
Well hot dog!!! My partridge is light with the brown and red so I pray it's a girl. So pretty. Thanks for sharing this with us
