My Little Silkie in the DustBathe inside the tractor....I can't wait for my silkie to look like Rockerhen's they are from the same line!!!!

Don't count your chickens before they hatch (pun sort of intended

), not all chicks from a good line will turn out show quality. even some catdance chicks can turn out just pet quality. vice versa, some extremely gorgeous ones can come from pet quality parents, so you never know what your gonna get. I hope yours turn out nice

I just got a polish cockerel, 5 months old, and I can't wait to see how he grows into his own! He is 2nd generation hatchery, but looks nice to me and a judge came to see the flock and he said they weren't bad, and he looks better than his parents.

I didn't try that, I went straight to the permethrin spray....especially for the crest.  I am more worried about prevention now.  One of my white hens is in bad shape, for whatever reason, I had to spray her down again today because when I looked her over today she still had ALOT.  Nobody else still had them, just her.  It was weird.

On the ASBC site, I believe there is a thread discussing how mites seem to have become more resistant to treatment. Some of the breeders are now starting to rotate the products they use. Here are two helpful articles that I have bookmarked re:mites and lice.

Some really nice polish come from hatcheries! It's hard to believe, but I've seen them. :)

I have tried posting pictures on the polish threads but no one responds as to how he looks. But I haven't gotten very good pictures either. He's a silver laced too, I think the only other person in NH with silver laced is the woman I got him from haha.

Show some pictures here then :) I'd love to see him!!

I have a few polish myself, and am getting a really nice rooster next weekend. :D

I have 1 buff laced, one black and this rooster is a white crested black - show lines - and has been shown, but is getting older.
