Silkie thread!

My boys seem to crow less, and they are much more docile. I just love my silkie roosters.

I've never had a rooster until my silkies, and I love them! I thought I'd hate having a rooster, but I love it. And I have 2 of them so far out of 5. They aren't really that loud, they're right outside my window and I can BARELY hear them in the house! and they're so cute and they don't fight and get along and are just awesome! maybe I'll keep them both.

The splash though, it doesn't really have any 'splash' to it.. it is just mostly a grey color, do dark splashes.

That's not fair, my DW's Silkies I got her are entering that "ugly" "I am getting my big bird feathers" stage. They look so ratty.

I have 0 experience with silkies so do the roosters crow like regular ones?

Dabney crowing..Miley wants to play
I bring him in the house every morning as he is this loud outside and no roosters are allowed in my neighborhood. He started off with a soft crow but that didn't last very long.


Brother Cecil and sister Penelope. Hasn't crowed since this. Probably because Dabney is the Alpha.
