Here you can see a little bit of the toe feathering is a yellow/white color and a bit of tip of toe is white its skin is super dark but I think as they age it becomes lighter.

I don't have a lot of experience hatching. But, I think shipped eggs can be tough. I had eggs shipped once and only one out of 7 hatched. Then, I put five of my own eggs under a broody and all five hatch no problem. Good luck!!! I hope he gets a buddy soon. Keep us posted!!

I have shipped eggs in the incubator right now it can be very rough on them i hope I get a decent hatch. That baby is so cute keeping my fingers crossed that you get a few more to hatch.

Silkies are more difficult to hatch. At least for me. And much more difficult to raise as chicks. The only problems I've ever had have been with Silkies. But they are so worth it!

Just curious, what percentage of chicks usually hatch out of your shipped eggs? Just candled mine, and about half show signs of life in them. Thank goodness she sent extras!!! I guess thats not too bad considering the came from FARRRRR away. Depending on how successful hatching goes will determine weather I buy eggs or chicks next time
