Silkie thread!

I really love the Porcelain and Partridge Silkies. Even though they are project colors, can you still show them?

Partridge is a recognized color. Yes you can show any color, if it is not a recognized color you show under the AOV catagory(I think that is what it is). That is how the color gets more recognized and eventually may get officially recognized.

Great! Thanks so much! I have some 5 week old Partridge and Porcelain Silkie chicks. I am hoping to show them this summer :) They are looking really cute!

I'm really starting to like this other unnamed cockerel. His feet have great feathering, and his head looks better than Macho's. He just doesn't have the shape Macho does. I'm keeping him for now to see what he produces

So, I'm on day 18 with the eggs. I swear I keep hearing phantom peeps and seeing phantom pips. I need some sleep

I know what your mean. GET SOME SLEEP ! That's and order !

Pretty birds every one ! I love the partridge coloration also.

Sorry about the noreaster but you know the planet really needs to moisture. It will bring a muddly spring but such lovely gardens. What I like best about NH and Vermont are the wonderful backyard gardens and flowers everywhere. I've been here in the desert too long. I miss green for at least six months a year.

Yeah I don't mind it, I love snow, but my chicken coop is buried

I should probably go dig them out...

Here's the view from my window this morning. I'm in Maine and there is a ton of snow. I'll have to dig out a path before I can even feed or water them. They will get some nice worm scrambled eggs alond with their fermented fees today.
