I don't remember who wanted pictures of my Bobbi Porto roo but here he is. He is 4 months right now. His dad is called Jumanji

I love that there is a Silkie in the world called Jumanji.

He is currently living with Diana our white Show Silkie... I love his crest! He looks like a girl but behaves like a roo.
That was me. Thanks for the picture!
Jumanji is a great name for a chicken.

My CatDance 5 month olds:

Love that paint and the lavender.

Alright I candled once more and did an eggtopsie. Of the 7, 6 were clear as I expected and the one from the B/S 2pen was the one with the blood ring.

I just finished doing the six/seven day first candle. The results are interesting.

Seventeen out of twenty four are developing normally. Seven infertile. All four Blue Splash pen 2 eggs were infertile. One Blue Splash pen 1, one white pen 2, one Lavender.

A very good mix of the others are coming along. One White pen 1, two White pen 2, one porcelain pen 1, two porcelain pen 2, two Lavender pen 1, one Lavender pen 3, two Paint, two Partridge, one Black, two Buff pen 2, one Blue Splash.

If I get Buff pen 2 chicks to hatch and want to breed them, I will order the corresponding pen birds from Karen. Breeding matching Catdance pen birds is breeding brothers to sisters that have the same sire. I don't want to do this close of breeding with my first Catdance flock.

Now I've got to keep those eggs happily percolating until day forteen candle next weekend!

I set 24 Catdance eggs on two days ago! I will enjoy following your progress! I will candle day 7 to see what is going on!! Mine traveled to southern California, but all aircells were intact/attached thanks to her perfect packing!!

Where is her face in all that fluff?

How is it possible to have such a pretty girl come from a black roo over white hen... There has to be something wrong with her right? Absolutely. She's completely pink skinned. LOL Her crest feathers and beard are also so full that you can not see her eyes unless you move the feathers out of the way. I noticed that she's gotten rather thin when I picked her up. Thought I might worm her just incas that is the problem. SO, I brought her in the house, set her on the dishwasher by the cat food. All my other birds love cat crunchies. She didn't. Odd that. I then gave her some chopped turkey, bread and egg yolk... nope. wouldn't eat. I thought, man, how can she even see? SO, after I trimmed all around her eyes as best I could doing it one handed, I set her back in front of the food. Holy cow! She finished everything nearly that she started with. I then gave her a bit of Chobani and peas also... Oh, I feel bad. I wish I would have realised sooner that she was having a hard time seeing food.
