Silkie thread!

Hello I hope you don't mind me showing a few pics and asking questions.
This is my first silkie, bought at a 4-H poultry fair last weekend. Tag just said Bantam white bearded silkie. no date of birth or of course sex. I noticed he has a few black feathers and getting a few more on its head, a bit flight until I hold it then cuddles right down. Any info you can give me would be great! Like age!! I also got 3 bantam barred rocks, 3 weeks old they do okay together now but I'll have to get it a silkie buddy I think.

Thank You

Looks like it could be male... not sure though. also maybe in the genetics it has splash and it may be showing a little as it ages. two of my Blue silkies where pitch black on top of their bodys and gradiented into a light gray or white on their bellys when they were a few days old, now at 1 1/2 months old they both have a tint of white on their wings and some of their black color has turned into a nice lavender or soft blue color. it truly is amazing to see the transformation from chick to pullet/roo and finally into a hen/cockerel

here is a few pics of my blue through its color change lol
