Here are some natural light pics! We had to move them out of our server room today, because the heat lamp kept causing the room to get too hot, and overheat the computer, causing them to reboot... Whoops! They're in our master closet now, which has pretty good lighting!

Doc Holiday is 22 weeks old. Showing some promise I think. To think I thought she was a boy for the longest time. She has come a long ways!!

I think gray as well. Though maybe it's a gray/splash mix? He's pretty either way!

What about this guy?




Is he buff? Red? I got him for free from someone who was going to eat him if I didn't take him. His name is Marty McFly and his girlfriend there is Jennifer. They had two babies as well. I don't think McFly is a full blooded silkie exactly. Look at that tail, it's that green/black color of an australorp feathers in the sunlight. But any guesses on color would be great as well.

I purchased some BBS Silkie eggs to hatch so hopefully I get some cute colorful chicks in 21 days! One of the eggs is a Sizzle so that should be interesting. I am still waiting for eggs of my own from my new flock. I picked up 4 hens and a rooster on Monday (rooster is not good for breeding so I need to find a home for him) and 3 hens with 2 roosters on Thursday (one rooster was supposed to be a hen but he has spurs). With 7 hens and 2 roosters I should be getting fertile eggs soon. The one egg we had got broken while we rushed to build some nice external nesting boxes on our coop but now the Silkies have nice private rooms for their laying pleasure!

My first broody (out of 4), hatched her first chick sometime last night! It's and frizzled Cochin/Silkie mix and its ADORABLE! I'll try to get pictures sometime in the next couple of days, its still a little wet and momma is very protective right now. I like my hands on my arms, so for now I'm leaving her be

My Cochin bantam hatched her first out this morning too! I had to put cotton, my silkie, with the big chickens this morning.
