Silkie thread!

Yup a velocity force dryer. but with the hard feathered babies i used it only to get most of the water off, i finished with a hand dryer.
That's still a lot of drying.

Can someone help me identify my new chicks. I'm new at this and don't have a clue
I have no idea what the first chick is. Maybe Polish? I don't know, but I love the little crest feathers coming in.

Second one looks like a Silkie, don't know what color.. Looks partridgeish..?

The first one almost looks like one of those frizzles/sizzles/whatever they are, with the curly feathers.

Looks like the wing feathers are curling?
Second one looks like all Silkie.

I still don't know the sex of my silkies. Can anyone check my video and offer me any assistance?
The dirty one won't keep clean. We call it Pig Pen. I don't know what the deal is. My other chick stays so clean after a bath.
I'd agree with PaintedFeathers. I think Pig Pen is a boy and Elmo(?) is a girl. The one in the back even sounds like a pullet.
How old are the chicks?

Actually, let me post a growth picture chart

This is the growth of Hachi, my splash pullet who was killed last fall by a hawk. She is the only one I have good growth photos of.

Thanks so much! I was starting to worry that they wouldn't get any head poof! So around the same time you can start trying to sex them, they should have head poof... Make it easy to remember!

My daughter calls her Elmo. ;) I'm also unsure of their age.

I have four and none of them crow like my other roos, but they are very talkative and two of them puff up and bump each other when they are out playing in the yard. I get consistently three eggs a day, sometimes four which seemed like a lot for two silkies. I don't have any pictures, but i can get some. Are there certain areas that I need to take pictures of?
