Silkie thread!

I have a 2 week old baby silkie that I awoke to with a hurt leg :( She was fine yesterday and I'm not sure how it happened. Anyone know what I can do for my little bitty? I feel so bad for her/him. Pretty sure she's in pain too :( She cries when she's trying to walk about. I have her in a donut shaped cloth to help her feel better some. At times she tries to get out but as of right now she's settled in and resting in it. Please help me help my baby. I'll be forever grateful. Thank you to all who respond

What is at the bottom of your brooder if you are using newspaper it can cause splayed leg. Or maybe if there are holes in the bottom and/or on the side her leg could have slipped through and they she may have freaked out and hurt it while trying to get it out

for your baby. Do you have any idea how she is hurt? Its really hard to give advise when we don't know what is wrong.
I'm not really certain... She cries when I try to examine her. I do not see any open wounds. They're on shavings so I know it's not splay leg. She uses the one leg just fine but holds her right leg out and doesn't like to use it. Haven't seen her hold it up...just out and mainly straight. Just went and got some vitamins+electrolytes and water soluble aspirin but I'm not sure on the dosage per gallon....

Are there holes in the bottom of your brooder if you could post a pic of your brooder and her it would probably help

Might be dislocated. If you can restrain her check. You may just be able to pop it back in. Might also be a slipped tendon. You will really have to check her out to be sure..

Upon further investigating...it's her foot :( About to post photos in a sec)

This is where she is now. Separated from the others

this is where she was with the others, she's right next to them in another brooder

her injured foot.... middle (long) toe feels swollen and the one on the very end is feeling rather limp and kinda under the toe next to it. You can't see it here because it's "limp" and hiding under there

My chicks are now 8 weeks old. I know it is too early to tell, but could I maybe perhaps just a little, figure out who's male or female? At what age do you start to have a real inkling on who's who? I know you hear egg or crow... but, by the way they stand etc, do you get any idea before hand on gender?
