That boy is very nice looking, even if his color is AOV and not a recognized color.

The points that I see that make him a nice looking bird is: His stance. If you look at the way he stands he looks balanced, like an S shape with his head over his body, chest low to the front. His head balances his tail. He is nice and wide too. He has a good crest and his wings may be a bit low - but most boys hold their wings lower than they should be. The only detraction that I can see is his comb is odd - not the Walnut called for, I am not sure what it is. It is the right color though.

I do not see pictures of the Splashed (probably Splash) boy or the red boy, did you want pointers on them? Splash is a color you get when you cross two Blue chickens, and it does look black and white all the way to grey with darker grey spots.

For the person with the Porcelain boy - he isn't a Porcelain because he lost a copy of the lavender gene - so you can get porcelain babies if you cross back to a Self Blue or another bird carrying lavender (half of the babies), but he is not the correct color. He would be considered a "Split" in Lavender breedings, and that particular color combination does not have a name that they can be shown under. The closest color that he looks like he would be disqualified because of the red on his wings.

Even some table salt dissolved in warm water will do the trick. I draw it up into a syringe and squirt from the beak outwards . You don't want to drown them. I used human eye drops in my Roos ear when he had sinus infection. Our avian vet was happy for me to do so. I have since used them on a goat with conjunctivitis , with great results. Could this just be a reaction to a dusty environment ? You should isolate them until you get a better idea of what you are dealing with.

Thank y'all I am going to do just that.... After looking up mareks I am a little worried. Her eye that she can open is farther back if that makes any since. I can't get a good picture of it but it doesn't look right. I also notice my barred rock has a weird right eye that is farther back like that..

, but that doesn't sound like the Marek's symptoms I have been reading about - the gucky eyes and coughing sound like a respatory thing. Try the salt water flush and the duramectin, and if you have oxine that you can use as a mister to breathe that might help too. They don't get colds, but they can get respatory infections from mold and mildue and get something like a bronchitis. Check to make sure you don't have molds or mildew growing where they sleep or run around.

No laundry room, no spare bathroom (we only have one and the laundry is in that tiny bathroom) no garage, my kid sleeps in the basement, and I don't have a dog crate :(  unfortunately, he had to go in with the others.  Too bad :( I would have liked to quarantine him, but what can I do. :(

I''ve had peepers and chicks in my bedroom on and off since April!! I just had to bring another in this past week to quarantine. Not the most ideal situation, but like you, the house we rent doesn't have a basement or garage, carport mudroom, spare room, or extra bath, so we make do :)
