Got my paint rooster all dolled up today. :)

New rooster! Just got him free. Poor dude was covered in lice and scaly leg mites so he isn't much of a looker ATM. I think he will look nice for a non-bearded once he's conditioned. How do you all think he will look? Also, is he a chocolate? burnt black? Or a burnt blue? The lady was calling him black but with all this feather loss I can't tell. He looks brown and has some slight copper coloring in his hackles.

I'd say sunburnt black

Someone PLEASE HELP !
Last ng when I got home from work I noticed my 6 week old silkies eyes were shut. She was clearly away and the wouldn't open. After a little rubbing my fiancé got one of them to open and slowly the other.. It seemed like she could open them but that it ause just hurt to keep them open. It also was not a perfect circle when she did open them. Well tonight she is back to not being able to open them again and I have no idea what to do. I feel like she is hopelessly blind and I feel terrible. Does anyone have any suggestions. I tried in the emergency section but no one has answered.
If it helps I did notice some sneezing about a week ago but nothing now. There is also a buff orpington with her that is around 8 weeks who is sneezing and has some kind of sinus infection.
I have tried rubbing her eyes with cold water and a rag and a a cotton ball but no luck.

Sounds like they have CRD. The treatment is tylan or duramycin but I don't know how old they have to be for that. I just treated my silkies with duramycin and they have a 5 week old polish with them and she's fine so you could try that. It isn't very strong though so you can't use the dosage on the bag. The dose I was told to use by peter brown was 1 heaping tablespoon per gallon of water. Do this for at least 5 days. Also get some VetRx and you can rub it on their combs, put a drop or two down their throats and make a nasal flush with it (using the directions for intranasal use) After the duramycin give vitamins/ electrolytes and probiotics.
