all I can find on craigslist are cockerels, try asking on the american silkie bantams group on  facebook, there are tons of breeders on there and someone is bound to know!

Are there any silkie breeders in Northern Iowa? Any color, any quality. I just want 1 for my laying flock as a pet (I don't need to take on any more breeds!)

I only know of a breeder down in Diagonal. I got most of my silkies from her.

It's a tiny little town in southwest Iowa. Ringgold County, if I remember rightly. I'm up near Des Moines and it was a 70 mile drive for me.
