We have babies this morning! Lavender the cochin hatched 3 of the 9 last night. And my white silkie hens and blue roo produced a white chick!!

I'm not sure, it is 50 degrees in the barn, so I am limiting messing with her. There were 9 eggs total and three babies have hatched. In the video, it looks like there is a zipped sideways egg. I am concerned about that one, but I am letting nature take its course, as I have been told not to help. It's torture waiting though lol. She broody pooped on her chicks a little while ago, so I grabbed it with a pile of hay with my hands

. She re-adjusted and as she did I saw a fully zipped silkie egg under her, so we will see. I am keeping the shells to see who is who. lol

Good idea I would leave them be too. Broody poop is the worst! Lol I have a couple Broody's right now that I ended up letting them have a few eggs even tho I don't want any more chicks, and one of the eggs is really big! I'm wondering if its a double Yorker? I wonder if there's something ou can feed them to keep them from going broody all the time. Best of luck!

Can you get a new picture showing her standing naturally like the top one? That's the best way to determine type, the other pictures don't show her very well.

She does look nice and shiny now, so she is a happy chicken. Her crest looks bigger and so does her beard, but I would like to see if her tail matches her stance now or if it is still flat.

i'll try .. she doesn't like it when i try it follow her lol she is camera shy unless i hold her .. i can try ... but so far she looks nice ?? if she has a nice stance what does that mean she is show worthy or she is just a nice bird ?

is this any better .. i can't do much better she hates it when im following her and don't mind the nest she is in the ducks corner so it gets mess really fast with my big ducks around

Ok so I need info !! I have lots of eggs beginning to hatch around the 19th. What is this about lockdown? Oh they are under the mommy not in a incubator. Anything I need to know please tell me. Thx
