Silkie are bantam sized and lay smaller eggs than large fowl.

I have some really little bantam silkies... they are about the size of a large mason jar probably... is that normal?

How old are they and where did they cone from? Silkies don't get very big. They're more fluff than body

They are a year old, I got them from a farm and the lady there had to get rid of them, so I adopted them from her.

I have one hen that is pretty tiny. the others are about 50% bigger than she is.

My silkie rooster is double her size and she is smaller than my 7 month old blue egg layers.

The broody one is hatching an egg soon... its day 20, and I was hoping she would be ok with hatching it

here's a comparison picture of my pair. The pullet is just a little over half the size of the cockerel.

They will be fine hatching eggs. Just make sure the nest is safe for the new babies
