Silkie thread!

Hello again,

Several pages back I posted about a little runt pullet that I thought had gold laced wings. Looking closer, they looked more barred. Anyways, I found her dead yesterday. She had just got a bonnet crest last month and I didn't get to take pic of her. The bonnet was 7 months getting here. Neither parent had bonnets.

I have a question about my showboy. Do showboys and silkie roos typically get along together fine? My silkie alpha roo chases him frequently so he in turns sneaks up and bites a particular silkie hen on the butt and clamps down hard. I put him in jail for 10 days because he finally bit the silkie roo on the butt and drew blood pulling feathers. Well, today I got him out of jail because I felt sorry for him. He seemed to be cold by himself. Now, since he's been out silkie roo chasing and biting him. I wondered if cause they are different or will 2 silkie roos act that way also. They have 8 hens while one is always broody. They also have 5 buckeye hens.

I also have a 2 month old little boy that I am worried they will injure acting this way. Should I give one or 2 away?

I find it so amazing to see a heartbeat through an egg. I am so anxious to see what color chicks ill get. I can only keep two of them. As I have a pair aoready.

Ill get either
Black, white, blue, splash, paint, porcelain(rare ocassion), partridge, lavender(rare ocassion)

What color should in keep?

Heres ichabody and lydia. Need to keep a rooster as ichabods not fertile.

Heres egg I candled

That's a very "typey" black. Very nice.

My blue roo, and one of my splash hens. Need to get this couple breeding! My blue hasn't started, yet.

She's kinda of wet - that's not red color on her. Don't know how she did that in her stall with a red and plastic water bottle! -Pam Pittman
