Silkie thread!

Hmmmm I'm new to this group I posted pics and people answered I'm new to chickens all together idk if my 3 week old and 6 day old silkies are show quality or not I personally think that like any thread they move at a fast pace at times or people post in middle of a existing conversation thus they get over looked so sorry if you feel as if you are being ignored but maybe leaving the thread is best ifyou feel that sstrong so good luck

I doubt I'll be logging in again.  I feel like my posts in this forum get ignored, so I'll be looking for greener pastures.  I know I'm not on here much, don't have show-quality silkies, and am not one of the "popular" silkie owners, but I feel like I'm invading some kind of clique whenever I post here.  In fact, I feel invisible a lot of the time.  I want to be somewhere where I can talk about silkies, show off my chicks like others do and get opinions on them (I get no comments, other "popular" people get tons), and get questions answered. I apologize for trying to be in your exclusive club.  Had I known you had to be an accepted member of that special silkie club to be acknowledged here, I would have never joined.  Good luck with your flocks.

Oh I'm sorry you feel that way. I know that everyone is keen to get their own pics up and sometimes posts do get lost in the flurry . I'm sure that no one here would intentionally ignore you. I often feel that snobbery on the Wyandotte thread but I can honestly say that I haven't experienced it here. I hope that you have a change of heart and hang around a while longer. Perhaps it's just the long cold winter you guys are having, but don't despair spring is on it's way. :hugs

Sorry you feel that way too! I am relatively new too but find it a fabulous place! Sometimes starting your own thread or getting in a thread with just a few followers is the way to go. I was just on a silkie hatch-along thread and felt like I really "got to know" the people on there and looked forward to seeing their chick pictures. If I were you, I would give it another try.
I have silkies too, just hatched last weekend. I'm about to post pics on a new thread... you can watch for it! Join me if you like!

There is just one 'standard of perfection' for partridge silkies, but I've seen people call just about any mixed color 'partridge' with other adjectives added that sound cool.

Partridge is not a recognized colour in the show rings in Australia , therefore not SOP.. I have had partridge , red partridge , silver partridge, and blue partridge .
