Thank you, I guess youd being changing bands often on chicks. Markers are a good idea. I don't know anything about wing bands, I'll google it.

I just found the wing bands and they are a pretty good price with the device to apply them for chicks as young as one day.

You can't even tell the wing band is there, once the chicks feather in. You really have to dig for it to find it under all the fluff. I've heard of people getting the wing bands with their name/farm name on them, this way if a bird gets stolen at a show, you can prove it's yours.

Thanks, I'll look into those bands. As far as zip ties I'd like to use them on chicks but can't seem to find them in the florescent colors in small sizes.

Are the wing bands removable. I've never seen a toe punched foot???

I mainly want to number my breeders and use different colors for each line etc.

I have Splash lines. Two different white lines, BBS in two different lines etc. Plus I have white and partridge showgirls that I want to band. Oh and Partridge.

Oh and I just got a lavender Roo that I am setting up with my black and a buff hen so I will definately need alot of different colors.

This sure is getting complicated !!! LOL


So no one has made a pullorum test box ???? I googled it and found ZILTCH !!! Plus I posted here on BYC and no such luck. Almost like it is taboo or something !!
