coolies! yeah, one thing i dont like about silkies is that they are so hard to sex.I sell eggs( as you know ) , day old chicks , ( then the gamble on sex is not mine ) and any spare Roos I will advertise at about 5 months , once I'm absolutely sure it is in fact a roo.
My last little bearded black had me guessing right up till the time I saw the roo mounting her.
She has a swoosh back hairdo just like a roo.
I have a mixed pen where wilkies are welcome . I am lucky that on our acreage we can keep as many noisy little Roos as we like. I've only had one conflict between a gold laced Wyandotte and a buff sussex and that didn't end well.
