Silkie thread!

I find that so long as I keep my breeds separated and pure that I can sell them or rehome them. I just sent 2 x boys across bass strait for $50 each. If you keep good quality birds you shouldn't have too much trouble re homing them. I have a lady that takes my unwanted dual purpose breeds for the pot. She and her family would prefer to eat my healthy , well cared for birds than those in the supermarket. Nothing wrong with that. Aggressive Roos get no reprieve.
We have a local chef that says that silkie meat is very ' silky ' funny that. Can't bring myself to send the little guys off and so far I haven't had to. The Asians love them!

I have one that we're revoking.
Thinking of trying craig's list.
In the event that anyone in upstate SC needs a Silkie roo, I've got a good one.
I would keep him but he's one of three blacks we bought straight run.
My alpha male is a splash and we're keeping him.
I'm afraid 3 roos is more than we or our gals can handle and Moe has got to go.
