Silkie thread!

I got new kiddos!! Plus the eggs coming Monday. Lol I have a patient husband.
A splash cockerel and a blue cream pair.



Also if you guys have thought on the sex of these two I would appreciate it. I hatched them from my flock May 8th so they are nearly 5 months old, their brothers look like boys, these two have streamers coming in I think, or their crests are filling in. I'm so confused.

I think that they are pullets.

I got 8 new silkie chicks yesterday.

They are around 3-4 weeks old all blue and 2 black, these will eventually go in with my other silkies. I have 4 whites that are 4 months old( 2boys and 2 girls), and their momma (also a white), a black rooster about 6-7 months old, a splash rooster 6-7 months old and 2 little blacks that are about 4 months old. NOt to sure on the sexes of the little blacks yet or any of the new ones I got yesterday........ Only time will tell, heres to waiting 3-4 months

Hi and . It's a little hard to tell by the pics, can you get some individual head shots? At 8 months of age if they were Roos they should be crowing by now.

You do what you feel necessary for your own flock. In the majority of cases poor ventilation in the coop ( too much humidity ) is the culprit. As I said , ensure good ventilation and cover in the coldest months .

First of all my frost bitting rooster, had the frost bite BEFORE i got him.
