Silkie thread!

Can someone post a picture of what angel wing in a silkie looks like? Is it when the primaries fold over the secondaries or under or both?

im pretty sure my old rooster had this...or he just had really bad wings
im not sure what it is, but I know the wing doesn't fold properly so the feathers just kinda stick out there...

This pic is from BYP.

I never lost that sensitivity. my mother was in the military and was hard but always respected that i was overly sensitive and still am as an adult. some people just are that way and being exposed to "hard" things doesnt change that.

what is that bedding ?

I shred newspapers for them. It works great and I get to recycle

Very pretty and for free waay to go

!! I can't zoom in in pics so I can't give good guesses on gender but from whst I can tell looks like mostly girls . The buff does have upright stance but at 20 weeks you should be able see some streamers on the crest or msyb even hear crowing my guys started crowing around then & became more consistent by 26 weeks. Does the buff have a big comb?

The comb does not seem real big and knobby like I have seen on other pictures, but I have to examine it up close.

Sorry to be MIA for so long. ..but had to post as I am heartbroken. My white silkie roo...found him dead. Just lying there  My silkie pullet seems so sad. She has another roo, buff mix, who grew up with them, and the yr old flock. ..but they never really integrated. Finally in same coop after months. ..but separated while free ranging. .. need to find a new one now for breeding. He was such a sweet beautiful roo.

So sorry for your loss. :hugs

Here are a couple more pics to help identify if the buff on is a Roo or not. As far as "streamers", there is one goofy feather that seems longer than the rest, but maybe it is still early to tell. I'll have to look up pics of streamers next. No crows yet though. Fingers crossed for a pullet! Maybe it will help if I give it a feminine name like Rose.

Sorry for your loss. Did you figure out what happened?

So it's supposed to get down to about 33° F a couple of nights this weekend.
I'm not worried about my BO's, but how well will my Silkies hold up?
Should I put a heat lamp in the coop, or plastic on part of the run to give them somewhere to take refuge?
This will be my first winter with the flock.
