Wow! If it wasnt for the streamers I would assume that's a hen based on the impressive crest! He is EXTREMELY handsome IMO. I had to give up a good looking roo like him a couple months ago because I already had maxed out my rooster capacity and I'm always going to miss him.

Thanks everyone :D

Mister Miser is around 6 months old, I think, he's still got some growing to do and I'm looking forward to watching him grow more handsome as he matures. I think he'll give me some lovely chicks when I pair him up with my blue and black hens in the spring! I got him from a fellow BYC member. I traded 2 chicks for him, certainly a good deal as far as I'm concerned.

Thank you :)
To be honest, I'm not sure who's line I started with. A chicken friend of mine picked up a blue and splash hen for me from somewhere in Maryland about 3 or so years ago (I still have my original splash hen). The splash hen in the picture came from a blue rooster (and one of those original hens) my sister in law gave me as a birthday present. I replace my roosters every couple of years, so I've just been breeding these guys since I got those original 2 girls.

Sorry, I know that isn't much help, but its the best I can do :/

Can someone tell me what color you think this gray looking one is? Gray, silver, reverse paint? Or maybe Light blue or Lavender? Parents are a white Roo and a paint hen.

It looks light blue to me. I don't think lavender because the coloring doesn't look even. I'm not all that familiar with paints, so I'm not sure what all goes with mixing them with other colors (especially white). They're beautiful!
