Lol too funny!!!!

I do agree that they look more like smutty buffs. Darkest one maybe.... I'm not seeing any penciling on the feathers. Male is really off-color for partridge. Did they have chipmunk striping as chicks? As for white popping up, both parents could be carrying recessive white in their background.

Yes they were little chipmunks and the other chicks hatched are gorgeous little chipmunks. Hehehe

My newst hen Maggie! Sweet girl has already gone broody and is sitting on 4 eggs! Too bad her egg is probably not fertile, but i do have an orpington, orp/faverolle cross, and a faverolle egg under there! Good luck Maggie!!!

Shawna I am sorry about your boy. I just put 8 silkies and 18 duccle eggs in the bator for you. Oh and three serama x.

Yes he was growing up so nicely. and he was soooo sweet! he would come to me and would let me pick him up and cuddle him. I can't wait for the eggs to hatch! I think I convenced my hubby to build me another coop, so that i can keep my d'uccle and silkies seperate to breed some purbreds as well as trying out some mix breeding to see what i get

I think he is Splash

This is what I thought, but I was not 100% sure. I bought him from a breeder when he was 8 weeks old, the breeder said he was a Blue Pullet, lol. I think he is neither blue nor a pullet.

But that is fine with me, I do not have splash or blue.

Thank you for your help!

OMG they are so gorgeous!!!!!! I love them.
I have my first Cuckoo, he hatched from some mixed color silkie eggs. He is 5 weeks old, and I just love him, even his light colored eyes. I am pretty sure he is going to be a Roo, he has a comb already started. My silkie hens are partridge(blue&buff) and I wondered what the chicks would look like when I crossed them. Thank you for posting your pictures!

Thank you. Those 2 are the best from the first cross, I have more but they are not showing as much color...I can hardly wait to see how the second generation turns out..it will take several generation before I get them where I want them...but what fun it will be along the way!!

Do you have a picture of Mom and Dad you could post? Would love to see them!

Here is my Cuckoo Baby. I posted him on another silkie thread, and someone said he looked like a Hamster with a beak. I thought that was so funny.
