If I got a few silkie chicks maybe a couple weeks old right now would they be ready to integrate into a small flock of Cream Legbar, EE, OE in time for winter near Green Bay WI?

Not looking to baby them in winter, they will have at least 4sq ventilated coop space, but will also have outdoor access.

This is a last minute consideration for adding silkies after seeing one at the zoo, kids really liked it and the 5 BCM I bought ended up all cockerels so I have some extra space.

If this is too late for me to get chicks or if it is just a bad breed mix, or if there is any other reason it would be a mistake I would rather hear about it now than have birds harmed by my poor choices.

I've found that regular sized chickens (LF) can be agressive toward silkies especially if they're still young and small. I have my silkies and LF chickens in separate coops and let them free range on different days, too.

I would not put young silkies with big chickens. They are too defenseless & may get picked on. I don't even like putting full grown silkies with larger breeds. I had barred rocks with my silkies for awhile & they tended to bully the silkies so I found a new home for the barred rocks.
