I hear that Robin!!! I have some that are 5-6 months old that I have charted since they were born trying to guess the sex. Every month, it has changed!!!! LOL

Yeah, I know I got a whiles to wait. One of the birds, a dark blue, has a very puffy, globe-shaped crest. The other, a white, doesn't seem to have as much of a rounded one. Both have almost no comb. But, of course, I know both of these methods are not even remotely fool-proof with Silkies at such an age. Looks like a waiting game. I'll see about pictures later.

Yes, all silkies do have blue ear lobes

What breed would you say he is?

Maybe he is just a bad quality silkie, who maybe have inherrited the red skin from some other breed.

But he is very pretty!

He looks like a hatchery quality Patridge silkie...if he's mixed he's like 1/4 something else - because he has the silkie feathering which means both parents had silkie feather gene.
