Wouldn't a swamp cooler help with the dust since it doesn't dry it out? Truthfully I've been giving it some thought myself but the humidity is so high here I'm liable to create a swimming pool in there.

A friend has that kind of setup, with an evap cooler and still has tons of dust problems. Could partly be the dry desert.

what comb type or type of silkie would he be in general? as the frizzle i have looks like it but its white, frizzled, and well maybe double frizzle, as currently has huge quils from feathers growing back in after being sick and torn up by various things before i got (also had scale mite). everyone said to just let it die, but it defended chicks from a huge pitbull, so i said it deserved to be fixed up then found home, as would be good breeder as long as not bred to another frizzle and produce more double of the gene looking hidious.

Not sure how old they are? I was told "about" 5-6 months old.

At what age should they start laying if they are girls...so far NO crowing just grown up "clucking"

And at what age should I know 100% they are female?
